January 26, 2017 | Leave a comment After resting for a few days and getting to know the townsfolk a bit better, the four adventurers have become more comfortable with their surroundings. They have learned from the magistrate that, in addition to bandit attacks and raids, several people have gone missing recently. All signs seem to indicate that they went to the nearby Fenwylde Forest, but everyone agrees that it doesn’t make sense. None of the people who disappeared would simply abandon their families or homes, and they couldn’t sustain themselves in such a dangerous place without some kind of support. Though some speculate that the missing townspeople might have joined up with the bandits, those who knew them well swear such a thing is not possible. Areya and Lorec question Havlim about the possibility of werewolves lurking in Fenwylde, but all he can tell them is that every now and again he hears stories from travelers of howling in the forest, though he can’t say for certain himself. Without much to go on, the companions decide to formulate a strategy for investigating the bandits and the possibly encountering werewolves in Fenwylde Forest. When they set off to speak with Havlim the next morning, they’re surprised to see him discreetly speaking with four other adventurers who look quite a bit more seasoned than they are! When they approach, the magistrate seems a bit flustered and offers to make the introductions, but the strangers decline and say they would like to introduce themselves to the entire town. Curious about the new arrivals, the team heads off to the town square, where a crowd has already begun to gather. Visit us on Patreon to join the adventure!
