Everyone jumps up with a start as they face a very unpleasant sight… several dire wolves have approached them, with a werewolf at the head of the pack! Areya backs up Joren while Lorec scrambles to get battle ready and Melora, bleary eyed, tries to focus enough to cast her spells! The werewolf snarls and points at them, just as the dire wolves howl and lunge at the team! The battle is hard fought for the group of champions… Caught unaware, they were not prepared for the ferocity and precision of the wolf pack’s attack! Each time the team tries to gain an advantage, the wolves outmaneuver them in an uncanny display of intelligence and combat tactics. It soon becomes clear to Lorec that the werewolf is directly influencing their actions in some way. This realization does him no good, however, as they are easily outflanked and cornered against a huge tree! With nowhere left to run, the four friends are ready to make their last stand, when suddenly a gnome pops out of the tree and hurriedly beckons them to follow him!
