June 17, 2017 | Leave a comment Heading through the familiar areas of Fenwylde Forest, Lorec makes his way to the half-elf settlement of Woodhaven, his hometown. There he meets with Elder Kalian, who listens with great interest as Lorec tells the tale of sprites, centaurs and gnomes fighting for survival against an overwhelming werewolf threat! After thinking awhile, Kalian solemnly suggests to Lorec that he travel south to the dwarven kingdom of Thaeris in search of aid there, claiming that there is an old friend who will assist them. After spending a night in his own bed, Lorec travels back to Ebon Hold to reunite with his friends In the meantime, Joren gets to know some of the townsfolk better when the blacksmith of Ebon Hold approaches him with a proposal. It seems that several men and women have broached the subject of learning how to defend themselves using hand to hand combat, hoping to have Joren teach them some of his techniques. The monk is humbled by their desire to learn the ancient art of his ancestors and graciously accepts the honor of instructing them. As his students gather around and start practicing basic exercises with him, Joren briefly ruminates on his own training. With a smile he realizes the student has now become the master. Back at Ebon Hold, Areya and Melora stop by the tavern after inquiring all day about Septimus, Marlowe, Orlan and Manok. Sadly, no one has heard any news about their missing comrades or seen them since they left for Fenwylde three days ago. The two stop by the tavern to rest and try their luck with the barkeep, when Areya finds herself strangely fascinated by a young human male who introduces himself as Cusco. The two shamelessly flirt in front of Melora while she watches with a mixture of amusement and horror. Remembering the scroll that Glen gave to her, Melora unravels the parchment and begins to study the arcane message. Intrigued, she contemplates the text on the scroll for a long time, so lost in her own thoughts that she doesn’t even notice when Areya leaves with her new friend Cusco.
