Their peaceful preparations are interrupted soon after by a series of chilling howls, when suddenly three dire wolves reveal themselves and attack! The creatures are dispatched quickly with skill and precision, however the team spends the rest of the night ill at ease, keeping watch in shifts. While glowing eyes stare just outside of the fire’s range and fearsome howls echo through the night, the heroes drift into a fitful slumber! The adventurers set out early the next day and resume their tracking, but a surprise encounter with three more dire wolves carrying hobgoblin and orc riders interrupts their quest! Several goblins join the fray soon after, allowing the mounted orc to separate Areya from the rest of her allies!
