While the adventurers are ultimately able to rout the enemy group, Areya is briefly injured by a coordinated attack against her, allowing a hobgoblin to escape on his mount as her teammates rally to her side! After dispatching any lingering opponents, the four companions pursue the fleeing hobgoblin in the hopes that they can stop him from raising the alarm! Unfortunately for the team, by the time they catch up to their quarry it’s too late! The heroes are shocked to discover that a number of previously encountered enemies have allied with each other and set up an ambush! The Werewolf Lord, Goblin Sorceress and Half-Orc Bandit Leader reveal that they are all being led by the Wizened Witch! Once combat begins, the adventurers soon realize that the tide battle has turned against them! As Joren takes on the Werewolf Lord in single combat, Lorec launches a slew of arrows at his attackers, felling foes one after another in quick succession! Despite these displays of martial prowess and skill, both are soon put on the defensive when Lorec finds himself surrounded on all sides and Joren focuses on dodging to avoid getting bitten! Things get worse for Areya and Melora as they are quickly cut off from any outside interference! While Areya squares off against the brutal assault of the Bandit Leader, Melora has to contend with two mages, each of whom would be formidable on their own!
