August 21, 2016 | Leave a comment Before them stands a sort of wolf-man, neither werewolf nor man, who introduces himself as Korvak. He is the leader of a group of lycanthropes who have fled to these woods seeking refuge and he claims that each of the men and women in his company are afflicted with the terrible curse… They hail from all over the world, but regardless of where they used to call home, they’re all outcasts now. Shunned, hated and isolated, they set out to find a remote place in the world where they would be able to live in peace. Regrettably, Korvak and his group found themselves irresistably drawn to a dark presence in Fenwylde Forest on their way to Silverwood. The closer they got to Fenwylde, the more wild and out of control they felt! Many of them have scattered memories of being amongst scores of werewolves, organized for some dark purpose, but their recollections are vague and unclear. Somehow, over time, they managed to resist whatever force was controlling them and flee to the south, finally settling in Silverwood. In addition, it seems the tree that Areya and Lorec were in has been continuously emanating some kind of energy that is keeping the wolfmen from losing control of themselves, even in the light of the full moon! Korvak thanks the ranger and cleric, who are both determined to investigate the suspicious activity in Fenwylde Forest. Deeply disturbed that there may be some hidden menace lurking in his forest homeland, Lorec wonders aloud how they can reach their destination swiftly. Areya kneels and prays for a few moments… then two majestic unicorns equipped with saddles and helmets appear, ready to be mounted! Areya smirks at Lorec and makes a comment that her deity always provides for His loyal disciples. The two make haste, heading north on the road to Ebon Hold. Visit us on Patreon to join the adventure!
