October 9, 2016 | Leave a comment With ease, the party dispatches the horde of dire rats, pausing momentarily to survey their shadowy surroundings. As they peer into the darkness, several large shapes moves out into the open and attack the team! Goblins! The adventurers, momentarily taken aback but this unexpected turn of events, manages to recover quickly. Between Melora’s spellcasting and Lorec’s bowslinging, three goblins and one of the hobgoblins are dispatched immediately! Joren squares off against the remaining hobgoblin and manages to keep him busy, while Areya heals her wounded allies. After an intense fight, the newfound companions emerge from the melee victorious! The four of them investigate further and find a treasure chest, as well as evidence of more goblin activity. It looks like the miners may have inadvertently dug into some goblin tunnels, in which case, dire rats are the least of their worries.
